If balance is your goal to make D2 competitve friendly and for pro matches, then mid doors should be unspammable! It is ok for Ts to see CTs pass, but not ok that CTs get shot for that, thats a bid disadvantage, and the argument for putting down the smoke is invalid, because you can still get shot dead.
If that is too graphically heavy then put windows in the roof/walls facing towards B site or something similiar to Train inner bombsite.Ĭ) Mid doors are made even worse, it is not fair that CTs cant cross to B without being shot dead, it is too OP. You can do that on all of the other maps, but not on D2. That way tunnels will still retain the nice looking building from the outside, but will create a ''war'' atmosphere, while providing lighting for inside tunnels, but most importantly - we will be able to throw molotovs and flashes from tunnels.
My recommendation: bring back the old design for upper tunnels with the blue mosque and make it look like third of the roof is blown out facing towards B site. With adding more good looking buildings, with nice arabic architecture, but with a blown up roof or one part of the building blown up, broken windows, terrorist grafitti and so on.Ī) Please remove skyboxes across the whole map, especially around B site.ī) It is easier to see in tunnels, which is nice, but that wasnt a big problem, skyboxes are!
If there is any way You could add prettier looking sand across the map than we had before update that would be great, if not, leave how it was before update, because at least it wont take processing power and FPS wont drop, which is hugely important, since a lot of kids play on low settings.ĭ) The buildings we had before update were very nice looking, and there was a good mix of good looking buildings and blown up, war damaged ugly buildings, and that trend should be continued I wouldnt want D2 to become like new Nuke, with a lot of graphical detail, but still should be a nice looking map.Ĭ) Putting asphalt on Long A does make that part look better but it doesnt feel like Dust 2 anymore which is supposed to be a desert town, hence DUST is in the name. If the old design felt like a middle eastern town damaged by war, then D2 Beta looks like a cattleshed or a barn in a small village that noone lives in, there is absolutely nothing beautiful about the map, except perhaps the Hotel on A site.ī) Look how beatiful Nuke looks now compared to old Nuke, although FPS is low for many people, it is a stunning map nevertheless. Outside B, B tunnels, B site, Mid and Short A. All of this is just my opinion, leave your suggestions in comments below, I will read them, dont know about Valve though :DĪ) The new design looks worse than the old design in 5 parts of the map. Although the new textures are better, overall it looks ugly and sometimes doesnt even feel like any Dust map (ever).
